Mr. Hart,
I was listening to your song today on Willies Roadhouse "The Key's in the Mailbox" today. To me the backup singer behind you sounded a little like Ray Price. I wanted to ask, was the backup singer Ray Price ? I enjoyed the song and kicked off a good day at my Principal meeting.

Hello Freddie,

Just listened to my favorite " Easy Loving". I love it the first time I heard it.

This will the last song played at my funeral, which will be soon. I have pancreatic cancer, and not much longer to go.

Your music gives me comfort. Thank You

I hope you remember this, but , you used to come to my mom and dad's house and Redwood grill restaurant on Webster street in Alameda Ca, you and George Jones would always come to the house when you was in town. Their names were Jim and Lucille Byrd, you used to pick me up and carry me around. I am now 61 years old. Years later you would still call us and we always had reserved seats at your concerts. We love you , you're the best.

Hi Freddie - Back in the Summer of '64, you performed at the Colusa County Fair in Northern California, along with Rose Lee and Joe Maphis and (I think) Cowboy Copas. There was also a local folksinging group, of which I was a member. You spent your backstage time with us, and gave us signed pictures and copies of "Valentino", which I still have, and still listen to! You also showed us your special tuning on your D-28 - the octave "G" string. Later I figured out that the Everly Brothers had used this tuning on "Love of My Life", and the first time I was in Phil Everly's home (in 1973), I found that he had one of his J-200s in a similar tuning; he told me that his Dad, Ike, had shown it to them early on.

I remember that visit with you fondly, and I am glad to see that you're still going strong!

And, thank you so much for your service! A year after we met, I joined the Air Force. and spent a year in Vietnam...which was easy compared to what you must have endured, so I salute you...literally!

You are one of the nicest Gentlemen I have ever met, and I'm glad that you finally got the recognition you always deserved from the very start (I have a 45 of "Loose Talk", and I like your version the best!).

Thanks for the Music

In 1973 Freddie Hart's Trip To Heaven came on the radio a few hours when my husband and I had our first date after not knowing where each was for 15 years Those words from that song took hold of his heart and he said out loud in the car, Wow, thats how I feel! I just fell in love with an angel straight from heaven!

Thank you for that 1973 song.

In 1962 I was with a country trio playing in a club in Oakland, California . . . you were a guest artist and we were privileged to back you . . . I watched your career grow over the years and always celebrated in my heart as you gained each success.
